About Us

We love throwing parties. Dance parties. Dinner parties. Neighborhood dog parties. Great British Baking Show viewing parties. We have parties because we found cute cocktail napkins at the 99 cent store, and because school’s out for summer (Lizzie is a teacher), and because it’s old-time banjo pickin’ season (Amanda is a musician).

We started throwing parties way back when – like way back when parties meant a handle of Bacardi in a dorm room and maybe a bag of chips and/or gummy bears – and then they just kept growing – from chips, to simple appetizers, to five course dinners with craft cocktails made with ingredients grown in our own backyard. Plus gummy bears. The gummy bears never really left.

At some point, we threw so many parties that people started to ask us to throw theirs. Thus, Potlikker Pantry was born.

We live in a little blue house in Highland Park, Los Angeles, and we never party without our three dogs, Judith, Auggie, and Zoey, or our turtle, Maui.
